Jul 03, 2020 I'm trying to install Microsoft Office 2010 Professional. I am running on Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit. I have previously installed the Microsoft Office 2010 Professional trial version, but later uninstalled it when the trial ran out. I have tried changing the permissions in Office software Protection Platform. There are 4 versions of osppsvc.exe in the wild, the latest version being 15.0.0169.500 (win7sp1gdroobosppv2(oobla).1). It is started as a Windows Service called 'Office Software Protection Platform' with the name 'osppsvc' and described as “Enables the download, installation, and enforcement of digital licenses for Microsoft Office applications. 1) Why there is a 'Office Software Protection Platform Service'? Does it come with MAK version only?
